11-03-07: Camp Outreach Plainfield receives $2,900 grant for materials
Thanks to the efforts of Levi Osborn of Fillmore, Indiana, the Hendricks County Community Foundation has granted Common Ground Christian Ministries $2,900 for Camp Outreach Plainfield 2008. Levi heard about the grants given by the Community Foundation for worthwhile local projects, and he had the vision to see how a grant might be a fit for Camp Outreach.

“Levi has been active in multiple camps, and he had confidence from the start that the grant would come through,” explained Common Ground founder, Guy Swenson. “He kept after me to come up with the budget needed for the proposal (nearly a year in advance), and his persistence was rewarded.” The grant will be used for materials for refurbishing homes of widows in Hendricks County in 2008. Additional details on next year's camp will be announced.
